We pride ourselves on our extensive knowledge of plays written by culturally diverse writers and our ability to match outstanding Beyond The Canon plays with reputable venues across the world.
Building on the successful 2012 stage revival of Errol John's 'Moon on a Rainbow Shawl', which was named a 'Black British Classical Play' and bought to the National Theatre's attention by Simeilia Hodge-Dallaway, Beyond The Canon aims to bring more hidden and forgotten plays to the foreground.
Through our mission to create more revivals of work by British and International culturally diverse writers, we strive to produce world premieres in UK, USA, Australia and Canada.
As a trusted consultant with a proven track record, we believe in leading from example and therefore, seek to not only revive works independently and through partnerships, but to also increase the number of culturally diverse directors, directing work on mainstages and studios of reputable theatres and drama schools.
Through this process, you will be able to join the many organisations that are committed to creating equality and diversity within their establishments in a meaningful way. By working together you will not only help to keep the Beyond The Canon legacy alive but expose your local community to wider range of storytelling and international experiences that will leave an inspirational impression on them for years to come.
